NOTD: Nails Inc New Kings Road & Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy

So I've been working my way through the sets I got from TK Maxx on Sunday and so far most have impressed.

Not so sure about New Kings Road. Compared to the rest of what seems to be the Midas Collection, this is quite a disappointment. In the bottle it looks like a nice navy/royal blue with a coloured shimmer through it. But unlike the rest which were super sparkly when applied this is actually quite dull. 2 coats gave full coverage but I didn't love the formula, it felt quite thick and as though it was dragging when I applied it. Even with a super glossy topcoat of seche vite it's still a let down.

As with my other manicures I used a Color Club glitter on my ring and thin, today it was Sugar Plum Fairy as it seemed to have a complimentary purple/blue tone.

Again I'm not sure but I think it's more to do with the base colour I've used this time, it would look better with something purple as a base.

As with the other Colour Club glitters it gives good coverage and has a nice holographic shine to it. Lots of different colours.

Normally my manis last me 3 days or so I see me changing this tomorrow after work cuz unfortunately it's not a winner for me.

P.S.  Please forgive the sloppy application, it just wasn't co-operating.

I'm trying.

Hi! So I've been trying my damnedest to keep this blog going. And I'm not doing very well. I had drafted some posts a while back (which I will still go ahead and post). I never got round to posting them at the time because I had an iPhone and the app just didn't want to work for me.
I know theyre a little out of date but I hope you still find them interesting. So what's been happening since I last posted?  Well I met a guy (on Tinder of all places), we got engaged last November (I'll do a proper post on this), and we got marries this September!  We enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in Japan and for the past month its been back to reality. I am going to change this blog a bit.  Before it could have always been classified as a beauty blog. Now I think it'll be more of an eclectic blog (by the way check out She's Eclectic one of my all time favourite bloggers). Anyway,  sorry about all the words and lack of pictures bit I hope to rectify that soon. Bye for now.

Money Smart Nail Art Competition Entry

Hi all!
Wow!  I'm really shocked, MoneySupermarket.com have invited me to participate in their Money Smart Nail Art Bloggers Competition.  This means I am in with the chance to win a prize worth £300, how amazing would that be!

Anyway for my regular followers you will know that I'm mad on leopard print!  So I thought what better design to do a tutorial on.
Materials Required: Base Coat - I use OPI Matte Nail Envy Selection of polishes - cremes are best for opacity but you can use glitters if you build them up Nail Art pen or Dotting Tool  Top Coat - I use Seche Vite

Paint your nails with the base coat to protect your nail from staining (I also find that Nail Envy encourages nail growth). *A good tip is before you start, wipe your nails with some nail polish remover, this is called squeaking the nail, it will remove any excess oil, making your mani last longer.

Paint your nails your chosen colours, any colours work but I've chose a few of the Barry M Gellies (which are c…

Pastel Polka Dots

Hello lovelies!
A lazy Friday night in resulted in playing with polish and with studs.

Polishes used: Lime Crime - Parfait Day Treasures By Tan - Gramma Cupcake

I was in the mood for some spring pastels to brighten up this horrid grey weather we've been suffering recently.

I added the studs as an afterthought, I was going to attempt some freehand art but I love how these turned out.
