Marie Claire & Glamour Mag Freebies

On your marks, get set, go!

It's that time of month again, the mags are out on new release and there are some decent freebies.

1st up is Glamour at £2.00 and with it some Benefit mini's.
Pore-fessional (rrp £10)
That Gal (rrp £15)
Bad Gal (rrp £10)

I have a subscription for this and got Pore-fessional in my copy, I look forward to trying it out as I've not had the chance until now.  As I already have a full sized That Gal and only last week bought a new They're Real mascara I didn't bother with the other 2, but they're a bargain if you can get them.

2nd is Marie Claire at £3.70 with a Ciate nail polish (rrp £9)
Jelly Bean (hot pink)
Purple Sherbet (lilac)
Bon Bon (nude pink)

I could have gotten all 3 but have a number of nude polishes I don't often us so I went with Jelly Bean and Purple Sherbet.

They'll feature soon in Nail of the Day.

DO let me know what freebies you get your hands on.

What covers to look out for.

NOTD: OPI Be A Dahlia Won't You & Models Own Ibiza Mix

So after the epic fail I was loosing my mani mojo.

I thought I'd use an oldie but a goodie. Be A Dahlia Won't You is 1 of the prettiest pinks I've ever come across.

Normally I team this with I Lily Love You but I'm loving the Models Own Ibiza Mix glitter at the mo, so thought I'd add it to my ring & thumb.

What do you think?

NOTD: Epic Fail

This was supposed to be my nail of the day though I'm not sure what happened with the application, it was awful. Thought I'd saved it with some glitter then the whole thing smudged =\

NOTD: Cult Nails Haul

So a few weeks ago Cult Nails had a $5 sale on a limited selection of their polishes.  You were also limited to 3 at the reduced rate.
This was my 1st purchase from them and I must say I'm very pleased.

How cute is the packaging!

Natural light (shows the true colour)

Flash (catches the shimmer)

I took these pictures whilst outside in the blinding sun so wasn't sure how well they turned out

Up close you can really see the green shimmer in Living Water, gold shimmer in Iconic and blue shimmer in Hypnotize Me

Think this instagram pic best captures the various shimmers.

Have you got any Cult polishes?

NOTD: Pink Gradient

Taking inspiration from my day at the beach yesterday (I actually visited 3 - Carnlough, Waterfoot and my favourite Ballycastle) I decided to do an ocean/sunset themed gradient manicure.

I used 2 coats of Models Own Indian Ocean as my base.

Then with a sponge I applied a light coat of Lancaster Gate.

And finally I sponged some Waterloo Place on the tips.

I couldn't resist by topping it off with some sparkle =)

Have you been anywhere nice this weekend?

TOTD: Neon Leopard Print

Look away now if you're squeamish. I know lots of people (myself included) don't really like feet but this pedi was too good not to share.

NOTD: Jewel Skittles

For some unknown reason I could not decide what way to do my nails today. And typically just as I'd decided I got nail mail.

Today's mail was the OPI DS Jubilee Set I won from Buyapowa. All I can say is wow! What pretty blues and reds and the little bottle of remover will be perfect for taking on hols.

Naturally this threw a spanner in the works, but only slightly. I'd planned on doing pastel skittles but after a quick rejig I did jewel 1s instead.

Then cuz it was such a lovely day (though I'm working and can't enjoy the weather) I decided to whack on some Fairy Dust as well.

I must say for being indecisive I really like this manicure, perfect for a sunny day.

Pay Day Splurge

I've been working 6 day weeks for a while now so not only have I been earning extra money, I've not had time to go shipping like I normally do, so in times like this I turned to the Internet.

Here's a few bits I've bought in the past week.

These are repeat buys for me but they are MUST HAVES!
Perversion is the ultimate black liner and it stays on ALL day!
they're Real is perfect for me of the blonde lashes it separates and coats my lashes perfectly, showing them in all their glory and I do often get asked if "they're real?"

How cute are these Hello Kitty flip flops!
I was in Asda today collecting something, spotted them and HAD to have them.

Another Asda bargain
Some Toms inspired shoes in a pretty pink with horse pattern.

I must admit I love having small feet as both the "Toms" and the flip flops were from the kids section, lol.

Now the piece de resistance is this beautiful Kate Middleton inspired dress again from Asda.
I spotted this on their facebook page a few weeks ago and signed up by email to be notified when it became available, as soon as I got word I ordered it in a 12 and a 14 (I'm still between sizes in some places) and to my pleasure the 12 fitted perfectly.
Now all I need is somewhere to wear it lol.

What have you been buying recently?

NOTD: China Glaze Aquadelic Cherry Print

I was feeling fruity when I decided to give these a whirl, though admittedly they look more like apples lol

Base is 2 coats China Glaze Aquadelic, the cherries are OPI Animalistic and the detail some No.7 nail pens.

Decided to do something a bit different on my thumb and ring so went with China Glaze Smoke & Ashes topped with Fairy Dust.

Love the sparkliness of fairy dust though it did hide the green tones of smoke & ashes.

NOTD: A England Order of the Garter & Nails Inc Romilly Street

A England are an indie brand based in the UK.

This is my 3rd polish (I also have Tristam & Morgan Le Fay) but this is the 1st that I have showcased.

Order of the Garter is a jelly like blue with a blue/green micro glitter shimmering through it.

This colour is going to be perfect for jubilee nails.

I got Romilly Street as a free gift with my last Raven Cosmetics order, this was a 1 coater but as the brush is so tiny (after all it's a mini) I had to do 2 coats to tidy it up.

I'd describe this as a rose red as its not quite red, not quite pink.

As for the evil eye sticker, I bought these on hols last year and was feeling a particular fondness for them as my parents only returned from Turkey on Monday.

Have you tried any A England's?

Holiday Gifts from Mum n Dad

Just a quick share of the fabulous gifts I got from Turkey =)

Some little crystal penguins

A rainbow shamballa bracelet

Some fabulous leopard print converse

Lucky girl I am!

NOTD: Color Club Twiggie & Power Play

Decided I needed something bright & cheery and what better than my color club neons =)

Twiggie is such a lovely colour I knew I wanted to use it again and I hadn't used Power Play before so decided to give it a whirl.

I was initially going to do half my nail with twiggie and the other half with power play using tape but decided I've never really used my dotting tools properly so it was time to try them out.

Admittedly there is no conformity here though both hands do match (and having a really small nail bed does restrict me at times), lol and I like the randomeness of the pattern.

A gift for mum <3

I couldn't resist sharing the cuteness! Bought this for mum from a craft stall at a charity event in work. It's a mini P Pat with his kitty kitty cat. I have a big version minus the cat in the attic that my aunt made me when I was younger but I saw this and thought of my mum =) xo
