Marie Claire & Glamour Mag Freebies

On your marks, get set, go!

It's that time of month again, the mags are out on new release and there are some decent freebies.

1st up is Glamour at £2.00 and with it some Benefit mini's.
Pore-fessional (rrp £10)
That Gal (rrp £15)
Bad Gal (rrp £10)

I have a subscription for this and got Pore-fessional in my copy, I look forward to trying it out as I've not had the chance until now.  As I already have a full sized That Gal and only last week bought a new They're Real mascara I didn't bother with the other 2, but they're a bargain if you can get them.

2nd is Marie Claire at £3.70 with a Ciate nail polish (rrp £9)
Jelly Bean (hot pink)
Purple Sherbet (lilac)
Bon Bon (nude pink)

I could have gotten all 3 but have a number of nude polishes I don't often us so I went with Jelly Bean and Purple Sherbet.

They'll feature soon in Nail of the Day.

DO let me know what freebies you get your hands on.

What covers to look out for.

  2. I bought 3 copies of Glamour! I bought Porefessional once before but couldn't justify spending £24 again on some pore refining primer. I bought 2 copies with Porefessional and one with Bad Gal mascara so I'm pretty happy! xx

    1. Apparently 3 of the magazine sized 1s = a full sized product. I don't really use face stuff, I'm lucky enough to have fairly clear, even toned skin. I do however have hello flawless oxygen wow! for when I'm having a bad skin day and the hello flawless powder if I need to even things out for an early start. xo

    1. I know it's great isn't it! I believe Harpers Bazaar out 4th June have 3 Leighton Denny polishes to choose from. Not a brand I've used or choose to use but a freebie is a freebie xo

I'm trying.

Hi! So I've been trying my damnedest to keep this blog going. And I'm not doing very well. I had drafted some posts a while back (which I will still go ahead and post). I never got round to posting them at the time because I had an iPhone and the app just didn't want to work for me.
I know theyre a little out of date but I hope you still find them interesting. So what's been happening since I last posted?  Well I met a guy (on Tinder of all places), we got engaged last November (I'll do a proper post on this), and we got marries this September!  We enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in Japan and for the past month its been back to reality. I am going to change this blog a bit.  Before it could have always been classified as a beauty blog. Now I think it'll be more of an eclectic blog (by the way check out She's Eclectic one of my all time favourite bloggers). Anyway,  sorry about all the words and lack of pictures bit I hope to rectify that soon. Bye for now.

Money Smart Nail Art Competition Entry

Hi all!
Wow!  I'm really shocked, MoneySupermarket.com have invited me to participate in their Money Smart Nail Art Bloggers Competition.  This means I am in with the chance to win a prize worth £300, how amazing would that be!

Anyway for my regular followers you will know that I'm mad on leopard print!  So I thought what better design to do a tutorial on.
Materials Required: Base Coat - I use OPI Matte Nail Envy Selection of polishes - cremes are best for opacity but you can use glitters if you build them up Nail Art pen or Dotting Tool  Top Coat - I use Seche Vite

Paint your nails with the base coat to protect your nail from staining (I also find that Nail Envy encourages nail growth). *A good tip is before you start, wipe your nails with some nail polish remover, this is called squeaking the nail, it will remove any excess oil, making your mani last longer.

Paint your nails your chosen colours, any colours work but I've chose a few of the Barry M Gellies (which are c…

Pastel Polka Dots

Hello lovelies!
A lazy Friday night in resulted in playing with polish and with studs.

Polishes used: Lime Crime - Parfait Day Treasures By Tan - Gramma Cupcake

I was in the mood for some spring pastels to brighten up this horrid grey weather we've been suffering recently.

I added the studs as an afterthought, I was going to attempt some freehand art but I love how these turned out.
