So I've wanted to try these triangular patterns for a while. Then on Saturday whilst in Belfast I decided to treat myself to a new (casual) dress for a family meal the following night.
Already had an idea that I wanted a skater dress and I knew Primark had a selection thanks to another blog posting I'd seen.
Right enough I found a beautiful skater dress that helped to tie in my idea for a mani and inspired the colours.
Please excuse the state of my fingers it's been a stressful few days and I've started chewing them again =/
To start a bit backwards, this is the finished product in natural light
I started by painting my nails with 2 coats of Aquadelic (after prepping them of course).

Once I'd applied a quick drying topcoat and left them to set for a bit I applied pieces of tape I'd cut triangles (rather unsuccessfully) out of (I think next time I'll just set 2 separate pieces of tape across each finger) and then 1 coat of stone cold.

Once I'd let the stone cold dry a bit I took the tape off and then with a dotting tool (again not very successfully) added the extra detail with Nails Inc Chelsea Embankment.

The inspiration for my design and reason why I did a leopard print ring finger.

And this is how I pulled the whole look together.
