My "At Work" Nail Care Supplies

So as I said my nails are pretty woeful at the moment but Lindsey from Neverland Nail Blog suggested I do a post on my nail care.  I've a fair few sets but this is the 1 I keep in my  at my desk in work.

Up until Sunday this stuff got carried about in my jacket pocket but after reading a handy tip (unfortunately I forget where) I've started storing it in an old glasses case.

As you can see I decided to paint it to, the bottom turned out much better than the top, I just used some "17" polishes from boots that I'd gotten at Christmas but never used.

So here we have it.
Antiseptic Handwash Gel ( not OPI anymore I just refilled the bottle)
OPI Avojuice in Mango
Nails Inc Mini in Mulled Wine
Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Creme
Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Watermelon (ok so not for nails but I need to look after my lips too)
A cuticle/orange stick
An emergy board

Like I say I work with the public and I'm a bit of a germ-a-phobe so I use this quite a lot, especially after dealing with money or touching people.
The Avojuice keeps my hands moisturised and soft as the hand gel can dry them out.
I love this cuticle creme it's got a lovely fresh lemon scent and keeps my cuticles in great condition.
The mini polish is incase my current mani chips (regardless of colour) as I think this colour is dark enough to do a quick "accent finger".

I also have nail care that I carry in my handbag as well as a "by the bed" hand kit but I'll show those another day.

What do you favour in hand care?

  1. I don't have one yet but I am going to prepare one asap! I really have to moisturize my hands more often.

Where did you get the OPI Avojuice?

    1. I either got it in a set from an American ebay seller or in the Lena White sale a few months ago, I had 7 or 8 at 1 stage but I'm down to my last 2 or 3. Really like them =) xo

    2. I'll definitely be looking for one. They look really handy to have in your bag for daily use.

I'm trying.

Hi! So I've been trying my damnedest to keep this blog going. And I'm not doing very well. I had drafted some posts a while back (which I will still go ahead and post). I never got round to posting them at the time because I had an iPhone and the app just didn't want to work for me.
I know theyre a little out of date but I hope you still find them interesting. So what's been happening since I last posted?  Well I met a guy (on Tinder of all places), we got engaged last November (I'll do a proper post on this), and we got marries this September!  We enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in Japan and for the past month its been back to reality. I am going to change this blog a bit.  Before it could have always been classified as a beauty blog. Now I think it'll be more of an eclectic blog (by the way check out She's Eclectic one of my all time favourite bloggers). Anyway,  sorry about all the words and lack of pictures bit I hope to rectify that soon. Bye for now.

Money Smart Nail Art Competition Entry

Hi all!
Wow!  I'm really shocked, MoneySupermarket.com have invited me to participate in their Money Smart Nail Art Bloggers Competition.  This means I am in with the chance to win a prize worth £300, how amazing would that be!

Anyway for my regular followers you will know that I'm mad on leopard print!  So I thought what better design to do a tutorial on.
Materials Required: Base Coat - I use OPI Matte Nail Envy Selection of polishes - cremes are best for opacity but you can use glitters if you build them up Nail Art pen or Dotting Tool  Top Coat - I use Seche Vite

Paint your nails with the base coat to protect your nail from staining (I also find that Nail Envy encourages nail growth). *A good tip is before you start, wipe your nails with some nail polish remover, this is called squeaking the nail, it will remove any excess oil, making your mani last longer.

Paint your nails your chosen colours, any colours work but I've chose a few of the Barry M Gellies (which are c…

Pastel Polka Dots

Hello lovelies!
A lazy Friday night in resulted in playing with polish and with studs.

Polishes used: Lime Crime - Parfait Day Treasures By Tan - Gramma Cupcake

I was in the mood for some spring pastels to brighten up this horrid grey weather we've been suffering recently.

I added the studs as an afterthought, I was going to attempt some freehand art but I love how these turned out.
