NOTD: Cult Nails Living Water

I have been trying to stick to bright nails to cheer me up considering the weather is so grim but I realised I hadn't done a full mani using Living Water yet and I'm going out tonight and I think it will be a pretty good match to the dress I am wearing.

I got this from the Cult Nails $5 sale a while ago.  It is described as a deep blue jelly polish with ice blue and emerald green glitter inspired by the phosphorescent sea-water.

Excuse my application, I did put it on yesterday but rushed it as I was heading to work so had to rectify it with another coat last night.

I wasn't sure how opaque it would be seeing as it's a jelly so I put 2 coats (then a 3rd) over 2 coats of OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui.

I purposely blurred the last picture so that you could see the shimmer in it.

What colour are you sporting today?

  1. I'm wearing basic silver tips because I woke up and did my nails VERY early.

    1. I usually do my nails at night when I finish work at 11pm as it takes me a few hours to unwind. Would have redone them last night but was starting at 7am so had 8 hours between shifts, so needed my sleep lol. xo

I'm trying.

Hi! So I've been trying my damnedest to keep this blog going. And I'm not doing very well. I had drafted some posts a while back (which I will still go ahead and post). I never got round to posting them at the time because I had an iPhone and the app just didn't want to work for me.
I know theyre a little out of date but I hope you still find them interesting. So what's been happening since I last posted?  Well I met a guy (on Tinder of all places), we got engaged last November (I'll do a proper post on this), and we got marries this September!  We enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in Japan and for the past month its been back to reality. I am going to change this blog a bit.  Before it could have always been classified as a beauty blog. Now I think it'll be more of an eclectic blog (by the way check out She's Eclectic one of my all time favourite bloggers). Anyway,  sorry about all the words and lack of pictures bit I hope to rectify that soon. Bye for now.

Money Smart Nail Art Competition Entry

Hi all!
Wow!  I'm really shocked, MoneySupermarket.com have invited me to participate in their Money Smart Nail Art Bloggers Competition.  This means I am in with the chance to win a prize worth £300, how amazing would that be!

Anyway for my regular followers you will know that I'm mad on leopard print!  So I thought what better design to do a tutorial on.
Materials Required: Base Coat - I use OPI Matte Nail Envy Selection of polishes - cremes are best for opacity but you can use glitters if you build them up Nail Art pen or Dotting Tool  Top Coat - I use Seche Vite

Paint your nails with the base coat to protect your nail from staining (I also find that Nail Envy encourages nail growth). *A good tip is before you start, wipe your nails with some nail polish remover, this is called squeaking the nail, it will remove any excess oil, making your mani last longer.

Paint your nails your chosen colours, any colours work but I've chose a few of the Barry M Gellies (which are c…

Pastel Polka Dots

Hello lovelies!
A lazy Friday night in resulted in playing with polish and with studs.

Polishes used: Lime Crime - Parfait Day Treasures By Tan - Gramma Cupcake

I was in the mood for some spring pastels to brighten up this horrid grey weather we've been suffering recently.

I added the studs as an afterthought, I was going to attempt some freehand art but I love how these turned out.
