NOTD: Party at the Gap and The Worst Possible Thing

Ok so this is take 2 of this blog post, as the app on my phone decided to delete my original =/

Lately I've been showcasing the Face of Australia and Rainbow Honey Equestria polishes so I thought for the last few I will combine the posts.

So here we have Face of Australia - Party at the Gap, a charcoal grey that I think is going to be a favourite of mine in the winter.

Now for the topping, Rainbow Honey - The Worst possible Thing.

This polish is gorgeous, a clear jelly base with blue flakies, holographic glitters and slightly larger purple and blue glitters.  Over this charcoal grey it really does explode with sparkle!

I think this combo worked out pretty well.

What do you think? xo

NOTD: The Element of Magic (Take 2)

I'm not sure how I got confused and ended up using this again so soon (my aim was try a new 1) but I'm glad I did, look how amazing it looks over the I Like to Mauve It base. You can really see the micro glitter, it changes the whole depth of the colour and I can see bluer tones than before. A happy accident =D

Nail Mail/TK Maxx

So... after 4 weeks Ulster Bank is finally back to normal (for me anyway)

And just in time as A England reached 5,000 facebook fans and to celebrate reduced the mythicals from £9 to £5 for 5 days!  So I finally got my hands on the 3 I'd been eyeing up.

Lady of the Lake, Galahad and Avalon.

Also was out and about today and I got into TK Maxx and found this set which I was very pleased with.

Reeves Mews, Park Walk, Montpelier Square and Mansfield Mews.

NOTD: GOSH 549 Holographic with Pastel Flowers

So today everybody seems to be doing Olympic nails.  Whilst they are pretty I'm really not into the Olympics and I'm thankful I recently had a pretty decent DVD haul to keep me entertained whilst our regular TV shows are interrupted.

The past few weeks I've been doing lots of swatch NOTD posts so I thought I'd do something a wee bit different today.

As I've been indoors all days it's been a bit difficult getting the full effect but after a few attempts I think I managed it with the flash.  Think this turned out pretty well.

NOTD: Face of Australia - I Like to Mauve It

I love the name of this colour =) it makes me think of Madagascar!

Of  all the colours I was most unsure about this as it looked quite frosty in the bottle but it's gorgeous on!

2 coats gave full opacity and it went on lovely and smooth.

NOTD: 20% Cooler

Oh my!  I think I may have found my favourite polish from this collection =)

20% cooler is LUSH!

I'm not sure what the base is like as I layered it over my previous mani of Let's Go Scuba Diving a yummy teal colour but it looks great together.

A glitterbomb of colours, perfect for Rainbow Dash =)

The glitter applied perfectly and this is 2 coats

NOTD: Face of Australia - Let's Go Scuba Diving

Today we're trying Face of Australia, Barbados - Let's Go Scuba Diving.

I'm really enjoying this range and wishing I had more access to it.

2 coats got full opacity and it's a gorgeous teal with a blue shimmer through it (though this was difficult to capture).

This is a rare right hand shot as my left hand is currently mangled with 2 broken nails =( so it's not just as tidy as it could be.

NOTD: A Little Kindness

Yet another foray into this LUSH collection.

This time my base is Face of Australia, Barbados - Bright Lights, Pink City and again it was a great base. These 2 collections have worked out well to try side by side as they seem to compliment one another wonderfully.

This is 2 coats of gold, silver, pink & I think green glitter of all different sizes

Yummy! (please ignore the breaks my nails are in protest at the moment)

NOTD: Face of Australia - Bright Lights, Pink City

Ah yes... Another Face of Australia - Barbados polish to try.

Bright Lights, Pink City is a jelly. I used 3 coats and there's still a slight nail line. Pink with a gold shimmer, I think it's possibly the prettiest, girliest polish I've wore in a while.

Can't wait to try using it for a glitter sandwich xo

Sorry for my absence...

...I had a number of posts ready to publish while I was away visiting my friend but for some reason it would not let me publish them via the Blogger app on my iphone, I will post a few now so enjoy =)

Birthday Batman Nails

So today is my birthday AND Batman The Dark Knight Rises is released in the cinemas. So I'm heading to Belfast to the Odyssey VIP suite to watch it in style.

Being a bit of a geek I had to do nails to honour the release of this movie and it's been a while since I've attempted anything new.

As usual I know these aren't perfect but I like 'em!

Will any of you be going to see the movie?

p.s. I'm not missing a finger I've just had a bad break on my pinkie and it's not painted (and yes my pinter is broke too)

NOTD: Hoof Wrassle

This is my second foray into this collection and they are all so LUSH!

Yet again my previous mani (Face of Australia, Barbados - Orange You Glad You Came) was a great base for this.

This is 2 coats.

Lots of gold glitter and red glitter, bit of a jelly finish, really nice.

This really does make me think of Apple Jack.  I'm not 100% sure if I suit this colour but I look forward to trying it out with other bases.

P.S. for the more observant, you can see my pure snapped index nail, I've been treating it with Nail Envy and keeping it covered with cute plasters, but for this I whapped on a little dried flower.
