The Summer Fun Challenge - Day 8: Fun in the Sun!

And here we are at the end of what has been a fantastic 4 weeks worth of Summer Fun Challenges.

I have really enjoyed participating for the 1st time and I hope my attempts weren't too shoddy.

I hope my blog shows that while there are some amazing and perfect nails out there, having imperfect, sometimes slightly rushed nails can also be pretty too.

Anyway...

Here is Day 8 of the Neverland Nail Blog Summer Fun Challenge.

The theme - Fun in the Sun!

This is another of the challenges I was really able to sink my teeth into.  I was going to attempt water marbling but I was feeling lazy AND I had seen this on Amber Did It!

While my attempt isn't perfect I do love them!

P.S. This is a rare right hand shot.

Again these pictures were taken when I was half sleeping and hadn't tidied my nails properly, they were also taken with artificial light.

These are slightly better, with it being my right hand I found trying this design for the 1st time a little more difficult.

Nail Colours
NYC - Pinstripe White
Color Club - Warhol
Color Club - Almost Famous
Color Club - Twiggie
Color Club - Pucci-licious

Can't wait to see everyone else's designs =D

I'm trying.

Hi! So I've been trying my damnedest to keep this blog going. And I'm not doing very well. I had drafted some posts a while back (which I will still go ahead and post). I never got round to posting them at the time because I had an iPhone and the app just didn't want to work for me.
I know theyre a little out of date but I hope you still find them interesting. So what's been happening since I last posted?  Well I met a guy (on Tinder of all places), we got engaged last November (I'll do a proper post on this), and we got marries this September!  We enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in Japan and for the past month its been back to reality. I am going to change this blog a bit.  Before it could have always been classified as a beauty blog. Now I think it'll be more of an eclectic blog (by the way check out She's Eclectic one of my all time favourite bloggers). Anyway,  sorry about all the words and lack of pictures bit I hope to rectify that soon. Bye for now.

Money Smart Nail Art Competition Entry

Hi all!
Wow!  I'm really shocked, MoneySupermarket.com have invited me to participate in their Money Smart Nail Art Bloggers Competition.  This means I am in with the chance to win a prize worth £300, how amazing would that be!

Anyway for my regular followers you will know that I'm mad on leopard print!  So I thought what better design to do a tutorial on.
Materials Required: Base Coat - I use OPI Matte Nail Envy Selection of polishes - cremes are best for opacity but you can use glitters if you build them up Nail Art pen or Dotting Tool  Top Coat - I use Seche Vite

Paint your nails with the base coat to protect your nail from staining (I also find that Nail Envy encourages nail growth). *A good tip is before you start, wipe your nails with some nail polish remover, this is called squeaking the nail, it will remove any excess oil, making your mani last longer.

Paint your nails your chosen colours, any colours work but I've chose a few of the Barry M Gellies (which are c…

Pastel Polka Dots

Hello lovelies!
A lazy Friday night in resulted in playing with polish and with studs.

Polishes used: Lime Crime - Parfait Day Treasures By Tan - Gramma Cupcake

I was in the mood for some spring pastels to brighten up this horrid grey weather we've been suffering recently.

I added the studs as an afterthought, I was going to attempt some freehand art but I love how these turned out.
