"these are a few of my favourite things" Day 2: Favourite nail polish!

Here we have day 2 of the "these are a few of my favourite things" nail art challenge hosted by ooh la la polish.

Day 2: Favourite nail Polish!

My personal fave is Warwick Way by Nails Inc.  I came across this colour just over a ear ago and managed to nab myself a mini bottle of it and have for a long time lusted after a full sized bottle.  Being a bit thrifty I don't like to pay the £11 retail price for Nails Inc and usually get round this with lucky dips and other special offers.  In this case I placed an order on my birthday and as this featured in the Pick n Mix I was able to nab it at £6.60 =D

For me Warwick Way is just the perfect balance of teal, green and blue.  A bright colour without being in your face.

*Not sure why these are blurred but I included them anyway.

  3. What a pretty blue - I wonder if it's a dupe for Zoya Breezi? I love uber saturated and creamy blues. Such a pain to clean up by my word the color makes me forgive it <3

    1. I'm not sure as I don't have any Zoya's. And it actually didn't stain. I used 1 coat of nail envy as a base and when removing used the bourjois 1 second remover tub, was quite surprised at that xo

I'm trying.

Hi! So I've been trying my damnedest to keep this blog going. And I'm not doing very well. I had drafted some posts a while back (which I will still go ahead and post). I never got round to posting them at the time because I had an iPhone and the app just didn't want to work for me.
I know theyre a little out of date but I hope you still find them interesting. So what's been happening since I last posted?  Well I met a guy (on Tinder of all places), we got engaged last November (I'll do a proper post on this), and we got marries this September!  We enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in Japan and for the past month its been back to reality. I am going to change this blog a bit.  Before it could have always been classified as a beauty blog. Now I think it'll be more of an eclectic blog (by the way check out She's Eclectic one of my all time favourite bloggers). Anyway,  sorry about all the words and lack of pictures bit I hope to rectify that soon. Bye for now.

Money Smart Nail Art Competition Entry

Hi all!
Wow!  I'm really shocked, MoneySupermarket.com have invited me to participate in their Money Smart Nail Art Bloggers Competition.  This means I am in with the chance to win a prize worth £300, how amazing would that be!

Anyway for my regular followers you will know that I'm mad on leopard print!  So I thought what better design to do a tutorial on.
Materials Required: Base Coat - I use OPI Matte Nail Envy Selection of polishes - cremes are best for opacity but you can use glitters if you build them up Nail Art pen or Dotting Tool  Top Coat - I use Seche Vite

Paint your nails with the base coat to protect your nail from staining (I also find that Nail Envy encourages nail growth). *A good tip is before you start, wipe your nails with some nail polish remover, this is called squeaking the nail, it will remove any excess oil, making your mani last longer.

Paint your nails your chosen colours, any colours work but I've chose a few of the Barry M Gellies (which are c…

Pastel Polka Dots

Hello lovelies!
A lazy Friday night in resulted in playing with polish and with studs.

Polishes used: Lime Crime - Parfait Day Treasures By Tan - Gramma Cupcake

I was in the mood for some spring pastels to brighten up this horrid grey weather we've been suffering recently.

I added the studs as an afterthought, I was going to attempt some freehand art but I love how these turned out.
