NOTD: China Glaze - Creative Fantasy & It's a Trap-Eze!

Hi all!

Another 2 from the China Glaze Cirque de Soleil for you lovelies.

Creative Fantasy immediately caught my eye as a breath-taking purple and theoretically it is BUT as other bloggers have said, it's a complete pain in the ass!

Here I have 3 coats of it with just some Nail Envy for my base and between bald patches around the cuticle and the fact there's still a visible nail line after 3 coats, I'd say this is fairly disappointing.  Which is a shame as it could have been stunning!

I couldn't resist nabbing It's a Trap-Eze! as it reminded me so much of the indie glitter polishes out there with the milky white base.

This went on well, I think it was 3 coats I used and imo it's perfectly opaque, though this means it'll be a bitch to remove.

One small thing that is more of a personal preference, I would have loved it if the glitters had been matte, I think this would have looked amazing.  Will have to dig out my matte top coat.

Have you tried Creative Fantasy?  Any tips for application?

  1. Here you will get the opportunity to lay hands on range of products that includes lip gloss, lipstick, lip paint, Eyelash Curler, eyeliner, brow, eye shadow, mascara, oil blotting sheets, AMC face and body bronzer, blush, body sparkles, AMC face and body illuminator, concealer, base and much more.

  2. I love Trap-eze, NEED, it!!! Well jel! x

  3. I got two of these, creative fantasy is reported for being a pig to apply by all accounts, but I put it on easily in two coats. Maybe I'm just heavy handed in my application?! I do use matte polish on top of nail envy as a base and I have found this does help application - especially on awkward polishes which show any flaws like chromes.

    1. I think I might try it over something next time, I don't like thick coats as it doesn't try quickly enough for me xo

  4. I like this

I'm trying.

Hi! So I've been trying my damnedest to keep this blog going. And I'm not doing very well. I had drafted some posts a while back (which I will still go ahead and post). I never got round to posting them at the time because I had an iPhone and the app just didn't want to work for me.
I know theyre a little out of date but I hope you still find them interesting. So what's been happening since I last posted?  Well I met a guy (on Tinder of all places), we got engaged last November (I'll do a proper post on this), and we got marries this September!  We enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in Japan and for the past month its been back to reality. I am going to change this blog a bit.  Before it could have always been classified as a beauty blog. Now I think it'll be more of an eclectic blog (by the way check out She's Eclectic one of my all time favourite bloggers). Anyway,  sorry about all the words and lack of pictures bit I hope to rectify that soon. Bye for now.

Money Smart Nail Art Competition Entry

Hi all!
Wow!  I'm really shocked, have invited me to participate in their Money Smart Nail Art Bloggers Competition.  This means I am in with the chance to win a prize worth £300, how amazing would that be!

Anyway for my regular followers you will know that I'm mad on leopard print!  So I thought what better design to do a tutorial on.
Materials Required: Base Coat - I use OPI Matte Nail Envy Selection of polishes - cremes are best for opacity but you can use glitters if you build them up Nail Art pen or Dotting Tool  Top Coat - I use Seche Vite

Paint your nails with the base coat to protect your nail from staining (I also find that Nail Envy encourages nail growth). *A good tip is before you start, wipe your nails with some nail polish remover, this is called squeaking the nail, it will remove any excess oil, making your mani last longer.

Paint your nails your chosen colours, any colours work but I've chose a few of the Barry M Gellies (which are c…

Nail Lacquer UK - Turkish Delight

Hello lovelies!
Today I'm wearing Nail Lacquer UK - Turkish Delight. I'm a huge indie fan and I love that there are some brilliant UK indies out there.
Turkish Delight is a pink jelly, full of pink/purple circle glitters.  There's a stunning iridescent purple shimmer through it also.

I can't describe how stunning this is in real life and I struggled to capture it's beauty, this was the best I could manage with the bathroom lights, lol.

I reckon with the shimmer this would look fab over black!
P.S. Can't say I wasn't attracted to this polish purely for its name, hehe. xo
