31 Day Challenge - Texture

Hi all!

Day 20 (can you beleive it?) of the 31 Day Challenge is Texture.
What better opportunity to try out my new MUA Fluff's!

Polishes/Fluff Used:
Nails Inc - Baker Street
Nails Inc - Manchester Square
MUA - Booboo Fluff

This was part win, part fail.  I say this as I planned on using 2 types of fluff, Booboo Fluff and Fuzzy Fluff, however Fuzzy Fluff wasn't playing ball, it wouldn't sprinkle out for me and at the time I couldn't get the sifter off, so when all else failed while the polish was still tacky I pressed my finger on it, creating a finger print texture.

I like the look of the Fluff but can't comment how it lasts as I only had it on a few mins for the benefit of this manicure.

  1. I've only seen one set of fluff nails before, they were green and had tiny figures glued on like a man taking his dog for a walk on the "grass". How did it feel on your nails? I'm not sure if it would bug me or not?

  2. Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one. I can't get the sifter off my pots either. So I've had to spend hours tapping it through the holes to get enough to use for just one nail! It lasts really well actually - I had mine on (on one nail!) for about two days and it washes OK too.

    1. Glad it's not just me then. THe blue was fine the powder came out the sifter and it lifted off. The pink not so much and when I eventually pulled it off it was quite caked=/ xo

I'm trying.

Hi! So I've been trying my damnedest to keep this blog going. And I'm not doing very well. I had drafted some posts a while back (which I will still go ahead and post). I never got round to posting them at the time because I had an iPhone and the app just didn't want to work for me.
I know theyre a little out of date but I hope you still find them interesting. So what's been happening since I last posted?  Well I met a guy (on Tinder of all places), we got engaged last November (I'll do a proper post on this), and we got marries this September!  We enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in Japan and for the past month its been back to reality. I am going to change this blog a bit.  Before it could have always been classified as a beauty blog. Now I think it'll be more of an eclectic blog (by the way check out She's Eclectic one of my all time favourite bloggers). Anyway,  sorry about all the words and lack of pictures bit I hope to rectify that soon. Bye for now.

Money Smart Nail Art Competition Entry

Hi all!
Wow!  I'm really shocked, MoneySupermarket.com have invited me to participate in their Money Smart Nail Art Bloggers Competition.  This means I am in with the chance to win a prize worth £300, how amazing would that be!

Anyway for my regular followers you will know that I'm mad on leopard print!  So I thought what better design to do a tutorial on.
Materials Required: Base Coat - I use OPI Matte Nail Envy Selection of polishes - cremes are best for opacity but you can use glitters if you build them up Nail Art pen or Dotting Tool  Top Coat - I use Seche Vite

Paint your nails with the base coat to protect your nail from staining (I also find that Nail Envy encourages nail growth). *A good tip is before you start, wipe your nails with some nail polish remover, this is called squeaking the nail, it will remove any excess oil, making your mani last longer.

Paint your nails your chosen colours, any colours work but I've chose a few of the Barry M Gellies (which are c…

Pastel Polka Dots

Hello lovelies!
A lazy Friday night in resulted in playing with polish and with studs.

Polishes used: Lime Crime - Parfait Day Treasures By Tan - Gramma Cupcake

I was in the mood for some spring pastels to brighten up this horrid grey weather we've been suffering recently.

I added the studs as an afterthought, I was going to attempt some freehand art but I love how these turned out.
