NOTD: Delush Polish - Forever Young

Hello lovelies!

Oh me oh my!  Delush Polish is a fab new Indie on the scene.  The lovely Adrianna based her fab first collection on Downton Abbey...

Finally I was able to unveil what I had been busy working on since January! My debut collection was inspired by Downton Abbey Characters and named the Downton A-List Collection. I unveiled sneak peaks daily until I ultimately announced all 12 polishes based on 12 amazing characters...

I managed to nab a few including Forever Young...

Introducing "Forever Young" (Inspired by Matthew Crawley)

Matthew was taken from the show unexpectedly but will be forever remembered. He not only stole Mary's heart but he also stole ours with his sincerity and his down to earth nature. Forever Young features a beautiful creamy white base with iridescent shimmer and floating red hearts ♥

I admittedly don't watch Downton Abbey but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good polish!

I popped this over Nails Inc Serpentine Road and found the final result reminded me of a frosty window.
Sucha beautiful combo that I look forward to trying out other combo's.

NOTD: 365 Days of Color - Gypsy Skirts

Hi all!

This is the last if the La Boheme Collection today. Gypsy Skirts is a dusty peach with gold micro and hex glitters as well as rose gold square glitters.

I popped on 1 coat of Nails Inc - Little Miss Sunshine first.

Ironically I used to have a gypsy skirt a very similar colour to this polish when I was about 16 and after admiring this its making me think I fancy another.

NOTD: Speckled Goodness

Hello lovelies!

So lately I've been lusting after the Illamasqua Speckled polishes however their price tags are a bit beyond my reach.
So when I spotted this look on Facebook I couldn't not try it.

Polishes Used:
Lime Crime - Milky Ways
Lime Crime - Lavendairys
Lime Crime - Pastelchio
Lime Crime - Parfait Days
Lime Crime - Crema De Limón
Nubar - Black Polka Dot

The tutorial I saw to get the effect was a layering one. Basically like a jelly sandwich. However my Lime Crime polishes were to opaque (not that I'm complaining they're the best pastels in the world!) so I started from scratched a just used the Nubar as a topcoat. I'm really happy with this finished look and considering the Nubar only cost me £6.50 and I can use it to make any speckled polish its definitely a bargain!!

Also seeing as they look like mini eggs I couldn't resist adding these little guys.
Happy Easter!!

NOTD: Serpentine Road

Hello lovelies!

Nails Inc sometimes have flash sales and I recently nabbed this beauty thanks to that.

Serpentine Road is a stunning midnight blue!
1 coat was almost perfection and the second coat just completed that!

I can't believe that  a blue lover such as myself has only just discovered this!

NOTD: 365 Days of Color - Free Spirited

Hi all!

It's a blue beauty from the La Boheme Collection today. Free Spirited is an indigo blue with a rose gold shimmer through it which just makes it glow.

This polish pretty much speaks for itself.

NOTD: Color Club - Over the Moon

Hello my lovelies!

I have one of the amazing new Color Club holo's to show you today!

Over the Moon is the most stunning blue holo I've ever seen.  I think pictures are all that you need, it speaks for itself.

The Tri-Colour Challenge - Week 4

Hi all!

Today I've decided to have a go at doing a quilt pattern with tape.

Colours for March:

Polishes I'm using:
Coral: Filthy Gorgeous - Rosey Posey
Green: Essence - Snow White Bashful
Purple: Golden Rose Paris - 128

The coral and purple have shown up quite well. The green not so much. Maybe it works best with flat colours??

Time Periods - Ancient Egypt

Hi all!

We're walking like Egyptians today down in Ancient Egypt.
Thing is when talking to a friend about this I had a different mani in my head but when I started doing it I completely forgot about my original plan, oops... Well since I'm writing this post in advance (I'm organised like that) you never know (and neither do I) this could be a double post for today's challenge.

Hieroglyphics seemed like an obvious choice as well as the colours.

Polishes Used:
OPI - Tomorrow Never Dies
OPI - DS Magic
OPI - Goldeneye
OPI - The Man With The Golden Gun

How amazing is the Tomorrow Never Dies/DS Magic combo!

And you know, despite lusting after The Man With The Golden Gun for ages, this is only the second time I used it!

Here are the hieroglyphics I used for inspiration and below you can check out what other era's I'll be attempting.

I did one like this before, they always remind me if Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

NOTD: 365 Days of Color - Nomad

Hi all!

Today I'm wearing Nomad from the La Boheme Collection. It's unlike any colour of polish I own. A creamy mustard full of green micro and hex glitters. Again a speckle type polish.

My ring and thumb have Nails Inc Hampstead Gardens with Nails Inc Eden Garden Polka Dots.

I normally contrast my accent nails but this worked well, I like it.

NOTD: 365 Days of Color - Vagabond

Hi all!

Another pretty polish from the La Boheme Collection today. Vagabond is a nude beauty full of blue glitters. Small micro glitters and larger hexes. This is proof that its the Indies that lead the way of the speckle polishes and the likes of Illamasqua hopped on the band wagon. I popped this in over Nails Inc Brooklyn.

My ring and thumb I used Nails Inc Windsor with Nails Inc Sloane Gardens sponged over the tips.

These colours compliment one another well and once again Sunny has created a winner!

NOTD: 365 Days of Color - Hippie Songs

Hi all!

I've a super pretty polish from the La Boheme Collection today. Hippie Songs is a soft grey full of blue shimmer. So delicate and pretty. I wasn't sure how sheer it would be so I layered it over Nails Inc Porchester Square.

In typical Steph fashion I had to do something on my ring and thumb and as I'd been watching The Hunger Games I decided to do Effie Trinket nails (who's excited for the new movie??). For these I used Nails Inc Manchester Square with Nails Inc Bedford Square sponged over the tips.

I'm all about eclectic but this worked so well together.

NOTD: Daily Lacquer - Michiru

Hi all!

I found this hidden gem when sorting through my Indie drawer of my Helmer (which is getting fairly full!)

Michuru was sent to me by Maggy (Daily Lacquer) with my Moulin Rouge Collection. It's a duck egg blue jelly with navy, green, blue and holo glitters. Green and blue dots. White hexes and blue hearts and moons.

Here I've applied it over Nails Inc Carlton Gardens (a metallic dusky blue) with Color Club - Eternal Beauty on my ring finger (look at that holo!)

No fishing required for the glitter and 4 of my 9 nails got a heart/moon glitter =)

*Michiru was sent to me as a blogger sample, all opinions are my own.
